The Durham Leaders Think Tank is a regular space for student leaders and alumni to share concerns, ideas, and solutions on a variety of topics throughout the year, and tomorrow at 3pm the Leadership Framework are running an exciting Think Tank event via Zoom. The talk will be facilitated by students from the Durham University Leadership Academy and we will be joined by Jeremy Cook OBE (PVC of Colleges and Student Experience) along with a host of Durham alumni.
These talks have been very popular and are a platform which allows for a breadth of open discussion amongst current students and alumni.
In a topical moment when the role of strong figures is increasingly questioned as detrimental to fighting global issues and the focus shifts to institutional structures and society’s response as a whole, we will debate the question ‘Do we need leaders?’. There will be a short introduction, followed by breakout rooms with discussions around ‘Do we need leaders’ and what would the alternatives be? and How do we create shared leadership?
This first session of Epiphany Term will be on Zoom on Wednesday 13 January, 3 to 4pm.
To obtain login details please email [email protected] by 2pm on the day.
The event is free and open to all.
