Durham University Orchestral Society (Chamber Orchestra) warmly invites you to its first concert of the academic year on Saturday 28th November under the baton of new conductor Joseph Schultz. Performing in the magnificent surroundings of the Great Hall of Durham Castle the orchestra presents a varied programme of repertoire, ranging from the classical period to the twentieth-century nationalist and neo-classical genres. Pelham Etherington provides the solo part for Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 20, one of the most well-regarded piano concertos of the classical period and a particular highlight of the evening.
