29 January 2017 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Gala Theatre
Millenium Place, Durham. DH1 1WA

A Sunday matinée concert for all ages – Films, Fiddles and Fingal’s!

Programme to include:

Mendelssohn: Overture – The Hebrides
Bruch: Violin Concerto no. 1
John Williams: Music from film scores of Harry Potter, Schindler’s List and Star Wars

Conductor: Aidan Oliver.
Soloist: Bradley Creswick (Violin)
Orchestra North East’s 30th Anniversary season started with a very well-received concert in October in the Cathedral and we continue with a family matinée concert that is definitely “a programme of two halves”. The Orchestra is very pleased to welcome back Aidan Oliver to conduct us again and of course, as leader of the Royal Northern Sinfonia, Bradley Creswick needs no introduction to North East audiences.

The Orchestra’s website www.orchestranortheast.org.uk has full details of this concert.
