The University Chamber choir will be performing this term in the Cathedral Chapter house, a concert not to miss.
Although Rachmaninoff is generally more famous for his piano compositions, the work he considered to be his finest was the All-night vigil (more popularly known as the Vespers). First performed just over a hundred years ago, the work is set to text taken from the Russian Orthodox All-night vigil. Join the University’s finest vocal ensemble: the University Chamber Choir in the atmospheric surroundings of Durham Cathedral Chapter House for what promises to be an unforgettable experience.
