Speaker Series with Mark Stormont, 21 January, 18 GMT
Entering the world of the arts as a young professional may seem like a daunting prospect in the wake of COVID-19. Or, it could be viewed as a great opportunity to forge a path in world clamouring for the culture and experiences of which it has been deprived.
Mark Stormont (alumni ‘09), started his career in the aftermath of the Global Financial Crisis. Leaving Durham he began his journey as a professional drummer before becoming an entrepreneur, employee, and ultimately a business owner with an annual turnover of £1.5m.
In this talk he will share stories and secrets born from a 10 year career in the arts and business that are fundamental to forging a successful and reliable career outside the confines of the traditional professions.
