Upcoming event with Dr Tom Hughes, Senior Educational and Child Psychologist

Dr Tom Hughes is a graduate of Durham University and current Vice President of the Durham University Hockey Club. He and his wife Laura were responsible for setting up the “Friends of Durham Hockey’ and has raised significant income to support the Hockey structure. Following his graduation, he become a HR consultant but retrained to become a Child Psychologist. Dr Hughes is currently the Senior Education and Child Psychologist with Cambridgeshire Council. Part of his role as Senior Educational Psychologist is to assist educational settings with support in relation to social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) for children and young people from 0 – 25 years old.
Dr Hughes will be exploring our understanding of resilience and ways in which we can boost our capacity to cope with the adversity a pandemic brings. This event may be of interest to a lot of students, particularly its focus on mental health wellbeing and boosting our capacity to cope during the pandemic.
