Steven is the UK Rights Director for Samuel French Ltd. (Samuel French is a global company that publish and license plays and musicals all over the world to both professional and amateur theatre makers). Over the last 188 years Samuel French has built an extensive catalogue of greats including Noel Coward and Agatha Christie, recent Pulitzer Prize winners such as Annie Baker plus a broad catalogue of titles including Chicago and The Rocky Horror Show and the current West End hit Everybody’s Talking About Jamie.

Steven will be speaking about working in the Arts, which will include the routes graduates may choose to forge a career in the Arts (writing, directing, acting, producing, or arts administration) including training, but also looking at alternative options. He will talk about how to develop yourself personally and seek the opportunities that are available.

He will cover diverse areas and include some of his own experience since leaving Durham University, and how he has found his way to his current position. Steven will also cover what his current role entails, along with the evolving world of theatre and publishing.

A drinks reception will be available after his talk and Steven will be able to answer questions, and form small discussion groups.
