Applications for the LSO’s Panufnik Composers Scheme open on Monday 9th December.

This scheme offers six emerging composers each year the opportunity to write for a world-class symphony orchestra.  Guided by renowned composers Colin Matthews and Christian Mason, with additional tailored support, the scheme enables composers to experiment with and develop their orchestral writing skills through creating a three-minute composition over twelve months.

The scheme welcomes applications from composers with a diverse range of musical approaches and backgrounds who are interested in writing for a full symphony orchestra, but have never had a work performed in concert by a professional orchestra before.
