Northern Lights, Durham University’s premiere a cappella group have won their quarter final of the International Championship of Collegiate Accapella! The team triumphed over seven competitors to bag themselves a place in the Semi Finals.

As well as being overall winners, the group picked up awards for ‘Best Arrangement’ and ‘Best Soloist’.

Miranda Phillips, a final year student from Collingwood College took home the award for Best Soloist and their ‘Best Arrangement’ was courtesy of Seb Marlow, a recent music graduate and ex Musical Director of the Northern Lights.

There are just a few tickets left for the Northern Lights concert in the Gala Theatre this evening, so be sure not to miss out on hearing this award winning group!
