Durham University Choral Society, one of Durham’s oldest and largest music societies, is looking for a musical director to conduct them through Epiphany and Easter Terms 2018, possibly extending to a longer term arrangement for the right candidate.

The 90-strong choir have an active schedule of rehearsals, concerts, and socials, and are looking for a lively and enthusiastic conductor to drive them forwards! DUCS repertoire is varied, recent concerts ranging from Jenkins ‘Massed for the Armed Man’ to Le Strange’s ‘Zimbe! Come Sing the Songs of Africa’. The successful candidate will be responsible for choosing future repertoire in line with the society president and executive committee. Rehearsals are held on Monday evenings.

If you think you could be the person for the job, or simply want more information about the post, please contact DUCS President Lik Qi, on lik.q.lim@durham.ac.uk
